COVID-19 Salon Update
WE'VE MISSED YOU!
At last we have some light at the end of the tunnel with a roadmap to reduce restrictions gradually to none by the end of June. We've been waiting for clarification from our industry sector, professional bodies and insurers as to how we are safely able to re-open for appointments. While there have been no significant changes in the guidelines we've detailed the main points of their guidance to date for your information.
PPE and the social distancing requirements have not changed, we will still be wearing visors and masks, and clients will still be required to wear a mask whilst in the salon. Hand sanitiser and masks will be available for your use. Sanitising time will continue to be allocated between appointments to ensure service/treatment areas are safe for use. COVID -19 email questionnaires will be sent prior to appointments and must be signed and returned to enable us to meet Track and Trace requirements.
To ensure social distancing is observed we ask that you attend your appointment alone and you only bring necessary personal belongings with you. For your comfort we are able to offer you a hot or cold drink in disposable cups, no biscuits unfortunately, and we have a digital magazine service that allows you to access a wide range of magazines and papers on your smartphone or tablet via a QR code. We know you love our coffee and hot drink menu, but we understand if you'd rather bring your own drink and book or magazine.
It is an insurance requirement, and continuing safe practice, that we skin test all clients having colour and tinting services again, no less than 48hrs prior to appointments. We appreciate this may be inconvenient for some, but unfortunately it is a necessary procedure we have a duty to comply with. You will need to return our email confirming that you have not reacted to the test after the 48 hours has elapsed, or we may have to reschedule your appointment.
The government roadmap gives us a re-opening date of 12th April, which will be confirmed the week before. We have taken the decision not to book specific appointments or enable online booking until this date is confirmed as it is frustrating for everyone if we have to cancel and reschedule due to the four rules not being met. Our wait List is now open so we can manage the booking process as well as possible when the time comes........ contact us via telephone, text, email or social media with your service requests.

At last we can open!
As we moved just as lockdown started, I'd like to confirm our new salon address and contact details. 3A Canal Street, South Wigston, Leicester, LE18 4PL is our now our home. Our telephone number is 0116 482 0107, and you can email us at . For those of you on social media, search Heather White Salon on Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok to find us. Car parks can be found on Countesthorpe Road or Station Street, both only a few minutes walk from the salon. Current charges are free for up to 3 hours, and £3 for any length of time thereafter. Street parking is also available.
Whilst we organised the reopening of the salon your health and safety has been our top priority. We please ask that all our clients follow our new guidelines to maintain a safe environment for you, your family and our salon team.
Prior to your appointment we will send you a COVID-19 questionnaire by email. To comply with Track & Trace requirements you must return this to us the day before your appointment.
All clients and team members are required to wear a face covering whilst in the salon. We will be wearing visors at all times, as well as a mask for certain services and treatments. Ear loop masks are best for hair and beauty services, and should be worn throughout your appointment. We have masks available for your use.
Our waiting area is temporarily closed. Limiting crowded spaces makes everyone safer. Please arrive on time for your appointment and wait outside until we are ready for you. To maintain social distancing please come alone to your appointment, bringing only necessary items with you. Walk-in appointments will not be available.
Although we love you, and we've missed you..... we can't hug you. Let's toe tap instead!
To reduce touch points, let us know if you would like to stock up on products and we will have them ready for you when you leave the salon. Curbside collection will be available for telephone orders.
Complimentary drinks and magazines will be paused for now, but please feel free to bring your own drink in a sports cup, and a book or magazine.
Please bring your payment card! Although we will accept cash, at this time we would prefer card payments.
WHAT WE ARE DOING TO KEEP YOU SAFE
We have completed a full salon risk assessment, and to comply with government guidelines, the main outcomes are:
A 2m distance will be maintained between stations, and while we are working wherever possible. Social distancing will be observed in the backwash area.
All stations, tools and products will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised between every service. We assure you that your gown, our aprons and all towels are clean.
Team members will be asked to confirm that they are symptom free, and have not been caring for someone sick in the past 14 days, at the start of each day.
Hand sanitiser will be available for client use. We ask that you sanitise your hands on entering and leaving the salon. Team members will wash their hands between each client and use additional sanitiser when required during your service.
As the salon has been closed for an extended time, we are required to re-skin test clients for all technical processes e.g colour, tinting, lash lifting, at least 48 hours before your appointment. You will need to return our email confirming that you have not reacted to the test after the 48 hours has elapsed, or we may have to reschedule your appointment.
Our annual price increase was planned for April, and will now come into effect. The Service Menu and updated salon policies are available by following the links at the top of the page. Due to additional PPE, sanitising and hygiene protocols a £3.50 COVID-19 supplement will be added to all appointments.

Heather White Salon closed temporarily on Saturday 21st March due to Coronavirus restrictions.
There has been no definitive update from the government as to when we will be able to re-open, and the guidelines we will need to follow to ensure the safety of our clients and staff. It is without doubt that health and hygiene protocols in addition to our usual high standards will be introduced, and that social distancing will continue to be observed.
With this in mind, and whilst waiting for specific measures to be advised, we have increased stocks of sanitising and sterilising products, disposable gloves, towels, aprons and gowns, and anti-bacterial hand gels as well as purchasing two UV sterilising cabinets.
Many clients have contacted us with regard appointments, but as we have no date for re-opening we cannot accept bookings for specific dates. We have however opened the 'Wait List' function of our new online booking feature where you can add your details so that we can contact you as soon as we can arrange appointments. Use the link, https://heatherwhitesalon.book.app/ and click the 'Book Now' button, choose the service(s) you would like and select the date as Tuesday,1st September 2020. As there is currently no availability you will be asked if you would like to go on the 'Wait List', please follow the on-screen instructions, and you will receive email confirmation that your details are on the system.
